Employment Opportunities: This is a senior level position responsible for directing new housing development for The Community Development Corporation of Brownsville (CDCB). It oversees the agency’s housing development programs that include subdivision development, colonia redevelopment, self help housing, scattered site program and possible multi-family rental housing. The Housing Programs Manager provides leadership within the agency in the conceptualization and formulation of plans for new housing developments and programs. Direct responsibilities include property identification, feasibility analysis, financial structuring, and securing grants and funding. CDCB is the leading non-profit producer of single-family housing for ownership in the State of Texas providing serving the homeownership needs housing of low and very low income families. Over the past 10 years, CDCB has developed 2,100 new and rehabilitated homes projects including 18 mutual self-help homeownership building groups. The successful applicant will likely have five years experience in developing low-income housing with a strong understanding of low-income project financing; possess a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience, and have demonstrated leadership ability.
